Domiciliary care
Personal care at home
Help with washing, dressing and personal routines, provided discreetly and at the pace that suits the person receiving it.

Overview
About personal care
Personal care is often the first kind of support a family looks into, and it is usually the hardest to ask for. We treat it as a private matter: what happens, who provides it and how it is done are all agreed in advance and written into the care plan.
Our aim is always to support independence rather than replace it. If someone can wash their own face, choose their own clothes or manage part of a routine themselves, that is what we work around.

How we work
Our approach
Agreed before it happens
Preferences, boundaries and the order of a routine are recorded in the care plan before any visit begins.
Same-gender support where requested
If someone prefers a carer of a particular gender, tell us at assessment and we will do our best to arrange it.
Dignity first
Doors closed, towels used properly, conversation kept normal. Small things make personal care feel less intrusive.
